Magic Duels Review

Title: Magic Duels Publisher: Wizards of the Coast Developer: Stainless Games Console: Steam, Android, Xbox one, Xbox 360 Release Date: 7/9/2014

The Magic: The Gathering Trading Card Game is not new to the video game scene, with yearly forays of The Duels of the Planeswalkers, enjoying steady release dates over the past few years it’s become an expectation that every summer a new title will make its way onto Steam and consoles with the new card collection from the past year. Fearless Fantasy Review

Developer: Enter Skies Publisher: tinyBuild Platforms: PC, iOS, Android Release Date: May 14th (iOS), June 2nd (Android), May 15, 2014 (PC) Price:$3.99 (App Store/GooglePlay Store), $6.99 (Steam)

A review copy of the game was provided for the purposes of this article.

Fearless Fantasy seeks to be a few things at once it seems. It is a parody of RPGs that feature the sort of tropes we’re used to, a glib main character that is far too cool for his own good and a damsel in distress. Thankfully she isn’t in distress for too long and, instead, joins the fight. It isn’t long after that our the classic bruiser joins the mix and the core of the team is formed. [...]

Developer: Netmarble Games Publisher: Netmarble Games Release Date: April 30th, 2015 Platforms: Android, iOS Reviewed on: Android (Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″)

A review copy was provided by Netmarble Games

Mobile games have been an extremely hit-or-miss venture since their explosion a few years ago, especially the free-to-play (F2P) variety. Countless game developers have released games trying to pass for F2P, only falling into the trap of pay-to-win – where users who spend the most money have the biggest advantage. It takes a delicate balance between the two to satisfy free players and paying players, and I was extremely relieved to find that Marvel’s Future Fight [...]

Vella woke from her restless nap with a grim disposition. Tradition stated that her time had come, hadn’t it? Tribute had to be paid, and that meant she, along with other such “worthy sacrifices”, would be gussied up and presented in a festive row of bombastic hues. Young girls gathered up like freshly frosted cupcakes for a denizen of the deep to consume. Mog [...]
