Halo 5 Guardians Forge coming to Windows 10

Forge, on the PC?

In 2007, Bungie revolutionised the Halo franchise with its addition of the original Forge feature to Halo 3. An instant fan favourite, Forge allowed players to modify or build maps for multiplayer games, unleashing the creative power of a millions-strong fan base. However, earlier today 343 Industries seems to be throwing us Halo fans another curve-ball by allowing players to develop Forge maps for Halo 5 Guardians on the PC through Microsoft Windows 10.

What to expect?

The first thing to note is that Halo 5 Guardians is still a Xbox One exclusive title. Secondly, the app will be free, and available only to Windows 10 users. Marketed as Forge – Halo [...]

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Review

Developer: Spike Chunsoft Publisher:  NIS America Platform: PC (Steam) Price: $29.99

Danganronpa was reviewed due to a code received from the publisher, NIS America.

Danganronpa does something truly fascinating. It features such brutality mixed with utterly goofy antics spliced with various genres including social sims, murder mystery along with a bit of Phoenix Wright courtroom drama for good measure. If this is how good visual novels can be then it should come as no surprise that more titles are making their way across the ocean.

I’ll fully admit to being entirely new to Visual Novels. It is an oddity considering how many video games from Japanese [...]

Street Fighter V Review

Game: Street Fighter V Developer: Capcom, Dimps Publisher: Capcom Platforms: PC/PlayStation 4 Price: $59.99 Reviewed On: PlayStation 4

A code was provided by the publisher for this review.

There was a dark time in the landscape of fighting games. The genre was stagnant for what felt like ages before Capcom unleashed Street Fighter IV onto the scene. The home console release back in 2009 was equivalent to Third Impact, honestly. It was a mega-ton that bombarded the entire FGC (Fighting Game Community) and got people to pay attention to a genre of games that was, frankly, not great at the time. It is no secret that Street Fighter is the fighting game. Few other names [...]

Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster Review

DEVELOPER: Capcom PUBLISHER: Capcom PLATFORMS: PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 PRICE: $19.99 RELEASE DATE: January 19th, 2016

The publisher provided a review code for this review.

The events of Resident Evil Zero take place a mere 24 hours before the infamous Spencer Mansion incident (Resident Evil) and introduce the classic survival formula with a twist. S.T.A.R.S. member, Rebecca Chambers, and her other teammates make an emergency landing in the woods nearby only to discover an overturned military police vehicle. Bodies are strewn about along with evidence indicating that convicted felon, Billy Coen, is lurking around. The group splits up to cover more ground and [...]

Tom Clancy’s The Division Beta Comes Out This Week

The beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division will open for Xbox One on Thursday 28th at 9 am GMT / 4 am EST / 1 am PST, followed by PS4 and PC on Friday 29th at noon GMT / 7 am EST / 4 am PST. To play, you will need to have pre-ordered a copy of the game for your system of choice. There is, however, a way to beat the pre-order restriction. According to reporting by Eurogamer PS4 players can cancel their pre-order but retain access to the beta. I do not advocate for this shady sort of behaviour, but if it’s your thing, it’s technically possible. If you plan on checking it out, you should make sure to get some time off work, as it’s only available over the [...]

Henry Fisher’s Game of the Year 2015

Every year has good games, but only one can be the best of the year. So, what have I chosen as my game of the year?

Following its release in March of this year, Colossal Order’s Cities: Skyline proved to be the SimCity that never was. Boasting careful attention to detail, more robust and complex systems than SimCity, and even expanding the possibilities for one’s cities, this game surely feels like the best game of 2015. Of course, many other great titles released later in the year, but none seemed to be as captivating as this.

Published by Paradox Interactive, Cities: Skyline allows players to forge their own cities from the ground up and gives them [...]

This is huge news for fans of the series as the first title came out in 2005 for PS2 and the original Xbox. It’s a popular title filled to the brim with Tim Schafer’s top-notch storytelling and charming design choices. Most of the levels in the game took place inside the minds of different characters making it unique from other platformers on the market.

The first game totaled 1,697,073$ in worldwide sales [...]
