Grand Theft Auto V is one of the best GTA games ever created and the multiplayer experience has been a feat for the game these past few years.
When GTA V launched back on September 17, 2013 on Xbox 360 and PS3, PC enthusiasts immediately began asking Rockstar when a PC version of the game would launch.
When GTA IV launched, it took nearly 7 months for a PC version to be released.
Well, it’s now been 7 months since the release of GTA V and a petition on Change.org has been going around demanding a PC version of GTA V.
As of this article, the petition has 690,801 signatures, nearing the 700k mark.
Many had expected an early 2014 PC release after Eurogamer reported inside sources close to the game had said that the version would launch in the first quarter of 2014.
With only 9 days left in the first quarter, it’s looking less and less likely those reports were accurate.
It’s worth noting that GTA V was delayed by 4 months before officially launching in September of 2013 due to the complexity of the game’s character swapping mechanics. Could the PC version be experiencing a similar delay?
Possibly. However, a PC version is inevitable and could be aligned with a possible next-gen release.
Stay tuned to APG Nation for any updates on this story as we have reached out to Rockstar for an update on a PC release and if, or more like when, a next-gen release will happen.
