This wouldn’t be the first Assassin’s Creed game to have multiplayer, however, it would be the first to have a 4 player co-op mode.
GameSpot is reporting that Assassin’s Creed Unity, the new entry in the franchise coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year, will have 4 player co-op thanks to shinobi602, a former NeoGAF poster.
The report says that at E3, Ubisoft will incorporate two separate playable demos of Unity – one being the single player and one being the 4 player co-op.
Details weren’t shared regarding the 4 player co-op other than that it would be a “separate narrative.”
GameSpot reports that Ubisoft declined to comment with the following, “Ubisoft does not comment on rumors or speculation.”
Assassin’s Creed has been covering many famous eras in history, such as the American Revolution in Assasin’s Creed III, and now Assassin’s Creed Unity will put players in the French Revolution.
Stay tuned to APG Nation as this story continues to develop leading up to E3 in June.
