Thanks to a translation of a Famitsu report by Gematsu, details regarding a new Fatal Frame game have emerged.
The details say that Tecmo Koei and Nintendo are working together on this unannounced project but no further details were provided regarding the game.
However, details relating to the Fatal Frame franchise were included. A live action film from Kadokawa Corporation is currently in production and is expected to be released in the fall.
In addition, a novel is coming this August from The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service author Eiji Otsuka.
And finally, a comic written by Kindaichi Case Files writer Shin Kibayashi is on its way.
Fatal Frame was made famous for its unusual gameplay of ditching weapons in combat and replacing them with a video camera solely for capturing ghosts in haunted locales. The gameplay is nearly identical to that of Outlast for PS4 where players are subjected to heart wrenching moments while video taping.
