With the highly anticipated Watch Dogs releasing next month, Ubisoft has finally released details relating to the multiplayer features in the game.
The video features an 8 minute commentary of the multiplayer in the open world action game and sheds light on the action we can expect when the game releases.
In the video, various game modes are shown such as hunting down other players, a player utilizing the smartphone app to take control of hackable equipment such as a helicopter while a console/PC player is trying to accomplish a set mission, and Competitive Decryption Combat that has players facing off trying to hack data.
In Watch Dogs, players will assume the role of Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. Now on the hunt for those who hurt his family, players will be able to monitor and hack their enemies by manipulating everything connected to the city’s Central Operating System (ctOS).
The ctOS controls almost every piece of the city’s technology and holds key information on all of the city’s residents. Access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate targets, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop enemies and more. Watch Dogs allows the player to use Chicago as their ultimate weapon and exact their own style of revenge.
Watch Dogs is set to release on May 27 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, and PC. Be sure to stay tuned to APG Nation as more details emerge as we quickly approach the launch.
