The new Call of Duty game from Sledgehammer Games will be revealed on May 4th according to their teaser website. The only clue about the new game so far is a distorted image of what looks to be a soldier.
Rumors are citing the new name will be Call of Duty: Blacksmith and will encompass private military companies.
There is a timer posted on the teaser website counting down to 10 a.m. ET on Sunday, May 4th. Will you be watching?
The teaser site features three little tiny white squares that can be found that link to the following, further supporting the private military rumors – Wikipedia about private military companies, a NY Times article on private military contractors, and a Business Insider article on private militaries.
Game Informer announced today that their May issue will feature the new Call of Duty game and all of the new details surrounding the game.
This year marks the first year a Call of Duty game won’t be released by Infintity Ward or Treyarch. It also starts the yearly rotation between the three developers and could bring a better game and new features as each team strives to make a better game. As with most Call of Duty games, we should expect a November release.
