We’ve all played a game before and thought, “This part of the level would be so easy if I could just move that wall,” or “I could get to that button if there wasn’t this giant pit here.”
Well now you can, with one of the most classic franchises of all time in Mario Maker.
Mario Maker allows players to create and edit classic Mario level maps and create some new ones of your own.
The trailer footage from E3 showed us moving pipes, adding turtle shells, and placing block-by-block entire platforms wherever you please.
“It has to be something that is uniquely Nintendo. Where a beginner can easily make something and have a good time, and simultaneously, someone who is really into Mario can delve into it deeper and make something more complex,” said game director Masataka Takemoto. “So that is a challenge we will need to tackle in the future.”
We don’t have any news on the exact release date for this game other than it will come next year at some point to the 3DS and WiiU.
Stay tuned as we continue to cover the events LIVE throughout the day.
