Afterfall Reconquest Early Access Arrives on Steam July 24th

It has been three years since the last Afterfall game – but later this month, Intoxicate Studios will be launching a brand new entry in the series into Early Access on Steam! Titled Afterfall Reconquest, the game casts the player in the role of a mysterious figure known as the Reaper as you traverse a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where nuclear war has ravaged the planet and forced people to band together to survive. While attempting to avenge the death of your parents; you will tangle with hordes of rampaging mutants, keep in touch with other members of your band of survivors via radio, and exchange vital information concerning survival in this harsh world.Afterfall_Reconquest_JPGThose excited about this new story-driven shooter will be able to buy the first episode of the title, but keep in mind it’s only 1/4 of the episode, which boasts an hour of gameplay. The Early Access becomes available on the 24th of July for $6.99. Tomasz Majka, Intoxicate Studios’ Executive Producer, had the following to say about the game becomming available on Steam:

“We are really excited that Afterfall Reconquest will finally be available via Steam Early Access because this is something we’ve been working on hard for the past couple of months. We are really counting on gamers’ support and feedback about the game to learn what they like and what they don’t like, what we should improve or maybe what to add to make the game even better. We still have some time left until the release date so we’ll do our best to implement as many of those comments in the final game as possible. We do believe that even at this very early stage we were able to bring back [an] Afterfall vibe and in the same time bring the gameplay experience to a whole new level.”

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
