The fourth and final DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts is coming soon to an Xbox console near you. On August 5th, fans playing on Xbox platforms will get the exclusive first access to the new Nemesis DLC. I’d tell you that it will be $14.99 when it releases if you want just this piece of the DLC pie, but I’m sure many of you already have the Season Pass, and if so, it will be there ready for you to update and get it.
Those who have been enjoying all of what Call of Duty: Ghosts has to offer already know many of the franchise firsts that have been introduced, from new dual purpose weapons like the “Maverick” Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle to being able to run around as the horror icon Michael Myers. Nemesis will be bringing you four new small to medium multiplayer maps as well as the dramatic conclusion of the Extinction narrative “Episode 4: Exodus.”
Here’s a little more detail on the features of Call of Duty: Ghosts Nemesis:
The “Goldrush” map is set in an abandoned gold mine in the United States. Players can traverse through an intricate network of tunnels and shafts as well as utilize mine carts to travel the map faster as they race along the abandoned tracks. Those who complete the unique field order of this map will unleash a howling pack of wolves upon their enemies.
The “Subzero” map heads up north to Canada where you get dropped into an abandoned submarine base. This map contains a mysterious terror that will destroy your enemies upon its field order completion.
Travel across the pond to find your inner Zen. In “Dynasty” you’ll be treated to a serene and tranquil lakeside village in China that is anything but peaceful. The criss-crossing pathways, varying elevations, and numerous back alleys will leave you vulnerable for flanking if you aren’t on your toes at all times. The unique field order of this one will let you call in air strikes to destroy your enemies and one jet will linger behind to assist you to victory.
The final map is called “Showtime”; a twisted version of an old favorite from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare called “Shipment.” The smallest map in Call of Duty history, this re-imagining of it is even more chaotic than the original. The tight confines of this shipping container courtyard will call for shotguns and SMG’s. This map doesn’t give you the luxury of catching your breath. If you can survive the mayhem long enough you’ll be rewarded with one of three killstreaks: lethal automated gun turrets at key locations, an airdrop with multiple care packages, or a deadly gas attack that forces everyone back into the central square chaos.
And closing out this DLC is the dramatic finale of the Extinction saga, “Episode 4: Exodus.” After the events of “Episode 3: Awakening”, your CIF Unit will rush in to help the last bastion of human resistance as it fights off the Cryptid army that is attempting to crush everything in its path. Your mission will be to get key personnel to safety, launching them to a nearby space station after restoring power to the shuttle. You can expect to encounter every kind of Cryptid that’s made its appearance in previous episodes as well as the Ancestors, which are the deadliest of their kind, harboring lethal powers like psionic attacks and mind control.

My name is Felicia but many just call me Lixx or Scilixx. I’ve been a gamer since I could sit up and play Asteroids on Atari. I became hooked immediately and have had a longterm love affair with video games. Of course, Atari wasn’t enough for me. I branched out into every generation after that. I still own them all, over 20 different working consoles. To quote Gollum, they are “my precious.” But I will admit, lately I have become a very healthy member of the PC Master Race. Do not despair, I’m not really much of a fan-girl to anything in particular. I like anything that gives me enjoyment. Whether its on a PC, console, handheld or even phone, I don’t care. I will play it.
Currently some of my favorite games include Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate & Fire Emblem (3DS), Soul Sacrifice & Toukiden (PS Vita), Diablo 3 & Borderlands 2 (PC). And yes, I generally will play multiple games throughout the day. If I go without gaming for a day, stay out of my way, I will not be in a very jolly mood.
Outside of gaming, I enjoy a good fantasy novel, violent tv shows (Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire), and folding origami. :3
