Club Nintendo Giving Free Gifts To Gold and Platinum Members

Club Nintendo is finally giving out its Gold and Platinum level gifts for players that qualified for their Nintendo Club rewards program. In order to have gained these levels in the reward system, you must have been registered for their program and have accumulated 300 “Coins” for Gold and 600 for Platinum. These coins are gained by registering Nintendo products such as games and consoles and also by filling out questionnaires on their website.

Eligible members will have already received an e-mail in their inbox from Club Nintendo letting them know that they are able to gain their gifts. Players can choose from a wide selection of games both new and classic as their reward for earning enough coins. Members that reach the Platinum Status can choose from both Gold and Platinum rewards. A full list of games and what rank is required to claim them is featured below.

For the Wii U, players can choose from:

-Game and Wario (Platinum)         gameandwario

-NES Remix (Platinum)

-Earthbound (Platinum)

-Dr. Luigi (Platinum)

-Ice Climber (Gold)

-Kid Icarus (Gold)

-Super Mario Bros. (Gold)

-Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Gold)

For the Nintendo 3DS, players can get:

-Fluidity: Spin Cycle (Platinum)

-Dillon’s Rolling Western (Platinum)

-Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move (Platinum)

-Donkey Kong 3 (Gold)

-Wario World 2 (Gold)

-Metroid (Gold)

-Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (Gold)

I picked Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D myself and I have been having a blast all day, but there are plenty of great titles on this list. It was actually a pretty hard choice!

There is one thing to remember about this gift, however. The game must be claimed before August 15th at 11:59pm. Still, that gives members plenty of time to figure out which game they want to pick from the titles available. If you didn’t have enough coins stocked up for this gift, don’t worry! Nintendo is continuing this program, so if you register enough products the rest of this year you can get in on the next round of reward games, and you can still redeem your coins for other free games and unique gifts.

Did you qualify for the Gold or Platinum gifts? Which games will you be choosing? Let us know in the comments below and keep following us here or our Twitter @APGNation for the latest in news, leaks, and reviews!

Hello! I am an Editor around these parts! I am a graduate of St. Francis and a substitute teacher, but I love to spend time playing games, especially RPG's and tabletop games! Sometimes I even create my own, such as my upcoming "Level Burst" project. My favorite video game franchises are Super Smash Bros, Monster Hunter, and Pokemon. My favorite tabletop games are Pathfinder (or D&D 3.5) and Magic the Gathering.

Have your say!
