First Intel 8-Core Processor Announced

Intel announced at PAX today that they will soon be release a Intel 8-Core processor. The latest in their long line of internal processors, the 8-Core will provide faster speeds then ever before and will even allow users to tweak the bios settings via their PC, allowing those proficient in the technical workings of computer to overclock their hardware for even more speed and power.

According to a post on the PCWorld’s blog, the new processor will retail for $999 dollars and will be aimed at the home desktop market. So if you own a current gen PC and want it to go reallllllllly fast, it is likely that this new processor is for you.

PAX has given us a bevy of exciting PC news today, ranging from a new Alienware PC and even statistics showing that PC gaming is more popular then ever. If the future remains this bright for PC gaming for much longer, we’re all going to need to wear shades!
