Metal Gear Rising REVENGEANCE Comes To Mac

With a bit of help from TransGaming, Konami will be bringing their popular action game Metal Gear Rising: Revengence to the Mac Platform. This will be the first release of Metal Gear Solid series on the Mac and marks the first release from TransGaming since announcing that they would begin porting PC content and games to other platforms, including iOS and SteamOS.

In Metal Gear Rising, players take on the role of Raiden, a cybernetic ninja who first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 2, as he hacks and slashes his way through an army of robots and soldiers that stand between him and his mission objective.

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE is the perfect marquee title to initiate our company publishing strategy, while also showcasing our unparalleled technology,” said Vikas Gupta, CEO & President at TransGaming. “The Metal Gear series is a legendary game franchise and we are privileged to be bringing the game to Mac. TransGaming’s proprietary enablement technology ensures Mac gameplay quality is on par with current console versions.”

“METAL GEAR has been a massive global success on myriad platforms and bringing the series to Mac was long overdue,“ said Yuji Korekado, a Producer from Konami. “METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE was a turning point in the series and is the ideal introduction for new Mac players.”

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
