Today Microsoft and 343 Studios have announced Halo: Spartan Strike, a top-down shooter set during the events of Halo 2. The game serves as an upgrade of sorts to the studio’s earlier Halo: Spartan Assault and will be playable on most Windows-enabled devices when it is released in December. The game will cost users 5.99 for the entire package, and grant you access to the game on all platforms, including Steam, and also garner a truckload of bonus content, including achievements, unlockables in Halo: Master Chief Collection, weekly challenges, and more. The game will also not feature any sort of microtransactions.
Halo has been a rising tide of sorts as of late, with the Master Chief collection, Halo 5: Guardians multiplayers, and a brand new live action television show all slated to let players experience the Halo universe like never before. It truly is an exciting time to be a fan, if I do say so myself!
