Blizzcon 2014: Goblins vs Gnomes – First Expansion For Hearthstone

The opening ceremony at this year’s BlizzCon event is well underway and, already, news pertaining to the first expansion for Blizzard’s immensely popular card game, Hearthstone, was dropped. There aren’t many details at the moment but we do have a trailer and a few bits of information for you, dear readers. Take a look at Goblins vs Gnomes.

Blizzard is tapping into a long-standing rivalry within the Warcraft universe to bring the first true expansion pack to Hearthstone. The card pool is going to grow by a lot as over 120 cards are being added into the game and, the best part, players won’t have to wait long as it will be releasing next month (December). They featured a few cards such as the “Explosive Sheep” and the “Annoy-o-tron”. This is something the player base has been begging for since the early days of Beta (myself included).

The rivalry is rekindled. More cards. More Hearthstone. Get ready.

Confirmation was also given that Android tablet users will finally get to enjoy the game on their tablet of choice in December as well. Pair that with the already compelling Hearthstone World Championship and this is a huge weekend for card aficionados and Blizzard fans alike.  Goblins vs Gnomes will bring massive change to the game, for normal players, and professionals as well. December can’t get here any faster.

More to come from BlizzCon 2014 throughout the weekend. You can follow @APGNation for more gaming news and reviews.
