Resident Evil Revelations 2 Release Info and Trailer

Resident Evil Revelations 2 takes the series in a new direction with episodic gameplay and multiple storylines featuring popular characters throughout the series’ terrifying universe. While it was previously announced that Revelations 2 would be released across several downloadable episodes a while back, the exact nature and timetable of the event had still been up in the air, until now. We at APGNation are happy to say that we finally have releases date for every episode of Revelations 2, which you can find below in handy chart form.

Claire Redfield, a character who hasn’t been a star of a RE game in some time, and Moira Burton (playable in co-op mode) will headline the main story in Revelations 2. Fan-favorite Barry Burton, who first appeared in the first Resident Evil game as the S.T.A.R.S. weapons expert, will join the cast of Revelations 2. Natalia Kora, a girl with a unique ability to detect items, will also be featured. Two new types of enemies are also premiering with Revelations 2: a skeletal foe that desires only to hunt the living called the Rotten, and a horrible being sewn together from the corpses of the dead known as the Revenant.

Gamers looking to jump into the action can either buy each episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 as described above for $5.99, or spend $24.99 for the season pass, which will also include two bonus mini-episodes and the use of the character Hunk in Raid mode. Those not keen on DLC games also have the option of buying a physical copy that will release on March 15th and feature even more new content: the ability to play as Wesker in Raid mode, a new costume for all of the game’s main playable characters, and four “Throwback” stages for Raid mode based on environs from previous entries in the Resident Evil series.

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
