Gamers who purchased The Master Chief Collection have access to the Halo 5: Guardians mulitplayer beta until January 15th of 2015. The beta focuses on what Xbox refers to as arena mutliplayer; a 4 on 4 competitive showdown between players. While players will currently only be playing this 4 vs 4 arena mode , Xbox confirmed the final release of the game will include a multitude of modes for players to enjoy. They promise the final release in Fall 2015 will be chalked full of modes, maps, and Spartan abilities to entice the most hardened of Halo veterans.

For the rest of us peasants that did not buy The Master Chief Collection, Xbox promised a warm seat on the sidelines by providing constant updates on the progress of the game.

Xbox also announced pre-order options and bonuses for those that go above and beyond in Halo dedication. These pre-order options include:

Standard Edition Pre-Order ($59.99) – Includes the game, as well as an exclusive game poster (Limited by supply at participating retailers)
