Call of Duty World Championship Finals To Be Broadcast To Xbox Live

Activision, together with Xbox, will bring eSports to new heights later this year as the Call of Duty World Championship invades Los Angeles, California for March 27th-29th weekend filled with fierce competition and all sorts of gaming goodness for the public to enjoy from home.

Bringing all of this excitement to you is the combined forces of Activision, Sledgehammer Games, Xbox, and MLG who will call together 32 of the world’s best Call of Duty players for a chance to compete for their share of a million dollar prize purse. But that’s not all! Everyone at home, as I previously mentioned, will also be able to gaze upon the best and brightest in the CoD community right from their living rooms, as the tournament finals will be broadcast the world over via Xbox Live. This means you won’t miss a beat as these gaming warriors go head-to-head and blow each other limb-from-limb in their quest for bragging rights and a whole lot of cold, hard cash.

“From Day 1, the team at Sledgehammer Games set out to bring a new way to play Call of Duty multiplayer to fans. We couldn’t be more thrilled of how the competitive community has embraced and mastered the new player movements and game modes of Advanced Warfare”, said Michael Condrey, Co-founder and Studio Head, Sledgehammer Games. “This is posed to be one of the most exciting Call of Duty competitive seasons with the Call of Duty Championship being one of the best eSports tournaments of the year.”

Glen Schofield, Co-Founder and Studio Head of Sledgehammer Games added, “We developed Advanced Warfare with the competitive community in mind and we can’t wait for the top talent from around the world to compete in the Call of Duty Championships.”

Sounds cool! Unfortunately we’ll all have to wait to experience the thrills and chills of such high level FPS play, as the tournament does not begin until the weekend of March 27th. Till then, make sure to keep tabs on the situation both here on our website and on Twitter @APGNation.

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
