Maps, Zombies, and More for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC

Activision rolls out the latest DLC “Havoc” today for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, bringing a number of new features to the popular FPS including four new maps, the A4E energy assault rifle, and a brand new single player campagin titled “Exo-Zombies.” All of this adds up to a superb value for the loyal fans of the Call of Duty franchise and will make the already fun multplayer mode just a bit more interesting in the days to come. For a more in-depth look at what “Havoc” bring to the table, consult the list below for details about the DLC’s new maps:

Call of Duty AW DLC 2

  • Core: Deploy to the Gobi desert where the ravaged ruins of a nuclear fusion plant set the stage for a high octane warzone. Take down enemies through the wreckage in long-range combat or get up-close and personal in the tunnels surrounding the central turbine. Activate decontamination drones using the map-based scorestreak to help clean out the competition.

  • Urban: Prepare yourself for brutal, high-speed combat in Dallas Ward 3, a future mega structure, funneling players into a close-quarters free-for-all. This modular compound’s verticality unleashes the exoskeleton’s capabilities. Stay focused during the timed event as blast doors alter the map’s flow and sightlines.

  • Sideshow: In the shadow of Devil’s Tower, Wyoming, this abandoned inn’s open layout amplifies its creep factor. Blast your way through the clown inn with close quarters battles or use long range sight lines from the mining facilities and natural terrain. Use the map-based scorestreak to activate the lights, music, and magic of the clown marquee and rain down a barrage of rainbow smoke-trailed cannonballs.

  • Drift: An idyllic ski resort high in the Rocky Mountains is transformed into a festive high-altitude playground, perfect for an all-out firefight. Make your way to the highly contested over watch in the glass observation deck or take a ride on the carousel to deliver 360 degrees of carnage. Players can use the map-altering timed event to their advantage as an avalanche of snow and debris disorients players, intensifying the battle.

As previously mentioned, Havoc also contains a new co-op experience called Exo-Zombies where the player must guide their squad of survivors through a horde of mutant terrors unleashed by the leaking of a horrible bio-weapon by the Atlus Corporation. Along for the undead-filled ride are a number of characters voiced by celebrity including the likes of John Malkovich (In the Line of FireREDBurn After Reading), Bill Paxton (AliensTitanicEdge of Tomorrow), Rose McGowan (Planet TerrorScream), and Jon Bernthal (FuryThe Wolf of Wall Street). If you’ve got what it takes to survive the end of the world, you can test that mettle right now on the Xbox One and 360, as Havoc launches today for a $14.99 or if you’ve already bought the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare season pass.

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
