Mortal Kombat X Story Trailer Teases New Kombatants

Warner Brothers and NetherRealm Studios released the official story trailer for Mortal Kombat X today on their official YouTube channel. Mortal Kombat X is the upcoming sequel to the longstanding fighting series, famous for its gratuitous violence and signature fatalities. Check out the full trailer below showcasing the new characters and plot teases.

The Who’s Next? – Official Mortal Kombat X Story Trailer, showcases the new generation of characters as they join forces to fight against the power hungry clone Mileena and her Outworld rebel army.

Taking place 25 years after the events of Mortal Kombat™ (2011), the new generation of characters will discover that Outworld is not the only threat they face. Fans will get a first look at the newest fighters to join Cassie Cage, including Jacqueline Briggs, daughter of Jax, Takashi Takeda, son of Kenshi and Kung Jin, descendant of Kung Lao.

Though the original press release mentions a select few Kombatants like Cassie Cage, Jacqueline Briggs, Takashi Takeda other familiar faces show up throughout the trailer. Kano is featured quite clearly along with Shinnok (the Elder God), Erron Black (the gunfighter/brawler mentioned in the prequel comics), along with Sindel, Rain and possibly Baraka as well. Mortal Kombat X is slotted for release April 14th, 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
