07th Expansion Announces TRianThorogy

07th Expansion, the doujinshi circle responsible for both the “Higurashi and “Umineko” series of visual novels, announced yesterday via Twitter that they have begun development on a new visual novel. The game will be titled “TRianThorogy ~Alice in the Country of the Three-Sided Mirror~” and will feature an Alice In Wonderland-theme. On board to write the project are industry veterans Romeo Tanaka, author of the “Humanity has Declined” book series, and Yuto Tonokawa, a writer and composer who has previously contributed to Key’s “Little Busters” and “Rewrite” projects, while 07th Expansion founder and writer Ryukishi07 will once again act as the game’s chief scenario writer.

07th Expansion’s website was also updated with a promotional image for the game, which features a girl drawn by Ryukishi07 wearing a blue playing card theme dress. What role this character will play in the story of the game is unknown at the moment, as are any details surrounding its plot save for a teaser on the site that reads “”When three worlds become one, Alice will awaken.” TRianThorogy ~Alice in the Country of the Three-Sided Mirror~” will be the first major release from 07th Expansion since 2012’s “Rose Gun Days.”

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
