Best Buy To Offer Splatoon Wii U Bundle On May 29th

Electronics giant Best Buy announced earlier today that they would be working with Nintendo to offer a special Wii U bundle featuring the new game Splatoon through their website and stores beginning on the 29th of next month. The bundle will include Deluxe Wii U, a DLC code for a downloadable copy of Splatoon and the Wii U launch title Nintendo Land will also come preloaded onto the system as a special bonus. According to Best Buy, this special offer will retail for $299.99.

Those who already own a Wii U will also be able to pick up a copy of Splatoon on the same day, as the normal edition of the game is also launching on May 29th. This is good news for the legions of excited Nintendo fans who have eagerly awaited the team-based cartoon shooter since it was revealed during last years E3 event. In addition, Splatoon will also feature Amiibo support that will allow gamers to unlock special stages and equipment by linking with their copy of the game with Splatoon-themed Amiibos.

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
