Nintendo eShop Highlights: Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition Demo and More

Puzzle & Dragonsthe smash-hit mobile game from GungHo Online Entertainment that currently has over 41 million downloads worldwide, is on its way to the Nintendo 3DS with Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition. It combines the classic match-three puzzle gameplay that Puzzle & Dragons is known for with the iconic characters of the Mushroom Kingdom. Players will get to explore the kingdom, crawl through dungeons, face off against various bosses and save the day right alongside Mario and the gang. The demo is available today (April 30th) in the eShop for those curious to check out the game before it launches on May 22nd.

  • Mega May Starts Next Week – Voting is now over. Check back on May 7 to see which classic Mega Man game fans decided should be released first. For the entire month of May, Nintendo and Capcom are celebrating everyone’s favorite blue bomber with six game releases in the Virtual Console on Wii U. The Game Boy Advance versions of Mega Man Zero 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue, Mega Man Battle Network 3 White, Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun, Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon and Mega Man & Bass will land in the Nintendo eShop throughout the month.

  • Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Hunter’s Weapon Gallery (Available May 1-July 1)

If nothing else stands on that list then take a serious look at Shin Megami Tensei IV as a potential purchase. It is a fantastic entry into the SMT series and one of the absolute best JRPGs available on the Nintendo 3DS. That price is tough to beat for as much content is available.

  • amiibo tap: Nintendo’s Greatest Bits : One of the last Nintendo Direct addresses mentioned that the ever-popular Amiibo figures would have the ability to allow players to relive some of the greatest moments in Nintendo history via a tap of the figure on the Wii U Gamepad. This application, also available today (April 30th) allows for players to unlock select moments from NES and SNES games available via the Virtual Console. Finally a use for them besides CPU characters on Smash Bros. for Wii U.
  • Pentapuzzle, Toss N Go and other titles from RCMADIAX are up to 50 percent off until 8:59 a.m. PT on June 24.
  • Zacisa’s Last Stand is 65 percent off (reduced from $1.99 to $0.69) until 8:59 a.m. PT on May 14.
  • TNT Racers – Nitro Machines Edition is 37 percent off (reduced from $7.99 to $4.99) until 8:59 a.m. PT on May 14.

  • Paper Mario – After Bowser steals the Star Rod and kidnaps Princess Peach, Mario plots to rescue the seven Star Spirits and free the Mushroom Kingdom from the Koopa’s rule. The turn-based battle system of this classic Nintendo 64 RPG will make fighting Bowser’s baddies equal parts strategy and timing.
