Earlier today controversy flared up on Twitter regarding the soon-to-be-released title, Axiom Verge. Our very own Tabitha Dickerson posted a review of Axiom Verge, a game the developer describe as “retro side-scrolling action/adventure” on the Steam Store page. However, when discussing over our very own APGNation review on Twitter, the official Axiom Verge Twitter account posted the following:

According to Axiom Verge, many reviewers published reviews without so much as playing the game based on their respective PlayStation Network IDs. Axiom Verge believes entire reviews were based on trailers rather than first-hand gameplay. While the developer did not list names of specific individuals or organizations that published the alleged lazy reviews, the accusation holds serious weight due to the continued questions of integrity many gamers have with video game reviews.
APGNation reached out to Axiom Verge for comment and have not yet received a response.
