Massively controversial game Hatred has closed the door on any more early buyers – and given the ones that made the window some good news. Jarosław Zieliński – Creative Director at the game’s Developer, Destructive Creations – announced in e-mail to the backers that they’ll be able to install and play Hatred on May 29th, a full three days before it launches.
We would like to thank all our fans for their great support during the time of Hatred’s production. Thanks to your votes, tons of e-mails and spreading the word on the web, we gained a lot of visibility, new followers and finally managed to finish the project! We have a big surprise for everyone who trusted us and decided to pre-order the game. You will not only be able to download the game from Steam on May 29th but most importantly to actually play it! This means three days before the official release! And we hope you’ll enjoy it massively!
Hatred enjoyed some publicity during it’s development after being removed and re-added to Steam Greenlight before earning a Greenlight, despite the setback. You can find our original interview with Mr. Zieliński here. Hatred is going to be released on Steam and Desura, though GOG has refused to carry it due to it’s controversial content.
Mr. Zieliński described Hatred’s style and gameplay, saying “Hatred is an isometric twin stick shooter, where the player takes the role of a cold-blooded Antagonist, who is full of hatred for humanity.” If you weren’t an early backer, you can purchase the game on June 1st.
