Yesterday, rumors began swirling that Microsoft was in talks to save the dying Silent Hills game by purchasing the franchise for “billions” of dollars. Before the rumor even had time to gain traction, Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft’s Xbox division, spoke up on Twitter.

No word yet on how a rumor of that magnitude started without some grain of truth, but we’ll undoubtedly learn more as we head into E3.
