Today Nintendo Download announced the release of Roving Rogue, produced and published by Padaone Games, on the Nintendo eShop for the Wii U.
Roving Rogue centers on what happens after defeating the last boss in an action-adventure game. Players take on the role of Kurt, an amnesiac hero who just defeated the final boss, and travel from the end of the game to the beginning in an effort to recover their lost memories. In addition to his trusty sword, Kurt also has the power of teleportation to assist in his survival to the beginning, which allows him to move a few meters in any direction.
The game is stated to have 40+ levels in the pixelated style of yesteryear and allows up to four players to play at one time. Players can work together to advance forward or make each other’s lives a complete nightmare as they face goblin archers, evil wizards, and all other sorts of strange mayhem.
A trailer for Roving Rogue was revealed last year in early September. You can watch it below:
The game is available today on the Nintendo eShop for $7.99 and is available only on the Wii U.
