index

Mercedes-Benz once more teams up with Nintendo to bring their classic cars to Super Mario Maker in a free DLC stage available today. The stage, called “Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive”, features iconography related to the luxury car manufacturer, and once beaten will unlock a special costume for Mario that sees the plumber getting behind the driver’s seat of the new Mercedes-Benz GLA.

Super Mario Maker continues to grow and evolve with new courses and content,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “It’s great that a luxury car brand like Mercedes-Benz recognizes the ability to create fun courses and share them with others.”

This marks the second time that Mercedes-Benz and Nintendo have teamed up for themed-DLC, with the first being a series of special cars and tracks for Mario Kart 8, also for the Wii U. “We are delighted to be once again represented in a blockbuster game like Super Mario Maker,” says Dr. Jens Thiemer, Vice President Marketing Mercedes-Benz cars. “Mercedes-Benz and Super Mario have a lot in common. Above all, they share the same vision: to inspire their customers and fans.”

Gamers will be able to find the special stage listed under “Event Courses” tab in Super Mario Maker, and then can download it free of cost.

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.
