Bandai Namco Named Official Anime Sponsor for Wizard World 2016


Bandai Namco, publisher of such titles as The Tales of series and Dark Souls, today announced that they will act as the official anime sponsor for Wizard World’s 2016 convention tour. The partnership will bring a variety of anime content to the Wizard World tour including cosplay competitions, live streaming gaming tournaments, and the chance for attendees to meet both pro gamers and Bandai Namco staff.

“The addition of BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America as the Official Anime Entertainment Partner is a huge step as we establish gaming as an important and growing part of Wizard World shows moving forward,” said John Macaluso , CEO, Wizard World, Inc. “Aligning with BANDAI NAMCO helps in our goal of providing the best experience for the nationwide gaming community and, importantly, connects Wizard World to a valued name in the industry.”

 The collaboration will also see Bandai Namco bringing some of their hottest new games to the con for players to try first hand. Among the titles hitting the show floor are the new Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and the highly anticipated Dark Souls 3.

 Gamers and anime fans alike will be able to get a peice of the action at one of the many exciting Wizard World conventions throughout the year; including those in Portland , Ore. (Feb. 19-21); St. Louis (April 1-3); Minneapolis (May 6-8); Philadelphia (June 2-5); Sacramento, Calif. (June 17-19); Columbus, Ohio (July 29-31); Orlando , Fla. (August 5-7); Chicago (August 18-21); Austin, Texas (September 23-25); and Pittsburgh (November 4-6).

I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.
