Team in Profile: GIANTS! Gaming

As a team here at APGNation’s eSports division we always love the off season with all it’s roster changes and excitement, sometimes even more so than the season itself, but we also know it can be hard to keep track of who’s going where and who everyone is. That’s why we’ve been working hard to bring you team profiles that can help you stay up to date and in the know. In this profile, Will Whittingham takes a look at a GIANTS! Gaming.

SmittyJ

Lennart ‘SmittyJ’ Warkus moved to GIANTS! Gaming from Team Dignitas but was unable to save GIANTS! Gaming from a dismal split. SmittyJ looked relatively stable in the top lane but problems around the rift impacted his ability to perform, and the German slumped to the bottom of the table and was unable to reverse the team’s fortunes. A new split spells a new start for SmittyJ and the entire team, but it will likely be a season of consolidation.

Maxlore

Nubar ‘Maxlore’ Sarafian has yet to play for an LCS team, joining up from Inspire eSports, but seems keen and ready for the task at hand. Having played alongside ex-LCS players means Maxlore has more experience than he may first seem to, but playing on stage will either make or break this player in his maiden split. Only time will tell if Maxlore will be able to improve GIANTS! Gaming’s increasingly poor fortunes.

NighT

Gun-woo ‘NighT’ Na joins GIANTS! Gaming from Ever and is looking to build the team a new. The Korean mid-laner will be hoping to emulate the success of fellow Koreans who have made the switch to Europe and power his team to a higher position in the summer than they achieved this spring, and it will be a hard task to be sure.

S0NSTAR

Son ‘S0NSTAR’ Seung-ik is the second South Korean on GIANTS! Gaming roster, having joined from Incredible Miracle in February and helping the team to maintain their LCS spot. Being part of the big reshuffle along with Wisdom and Smittyj, S0NSTAR has come into a weak team and sadly not been able to immediately turned their fortunes. With a new team around him maybe it is time for S0NSTAR to help GIANTS! Gaming to solidify and advance as a team.

Hustlin

Morgan ‘Hustlin’ Granberg has never played for a team outside of GIANTS! Gaming having been promoted from their second team to replace G0DFRED at support. As with all the relatively new players on GIANTS! Gaming Hustlin is relatively unknown and untested, with the little hype around him. This lack of hype could serve as a blessing as expectations and pressure may be relatively small, allowing for Hustlin to play to his full potential in the coming split.

About The Author
William Whittingham
Hey there guys! I’m Phil and I’m a 19 year old from the lovely UK. I’ve always loved video games and can remember the first time I played Age of Empires on my mum’s laptop. This passion for gaming grew as I grew and went into overdrive when I found myself with money I could spend and my own computer and consoles. While you’ll mostly find me on the PC, either being shouted at in online games or shouting at the screen on Steam, I also have a soft spot for my Xbox One. My favorite games of all time include Crusaders Kings 2 and Thomas Was Alone. When you can find me away from gaming it was almost certainly not by choice. I’m currently still a student International Relations and Political Science. While away from keyboard I also enjoy playing football (or soccer if you prefer) and recording a podcast with some of my friends who should know better.I love keeping up to date with all the latest gaming news and I hope I can help you to do the same.I’ll see you out there!
