Team in Profile: Immortals

As a team here at APGNation’s eSports division we always love the off season with all it’s roster changes and excitement, sometimes even more so than the season itself, but we also know it can be hard to keep track of who’s going where and who everyone is. That’s why we’ve been working hard to bring you team profiles that can help you stay up to date and in the know. In this profile, Ellen Chou takes a look at the North American behemoth, Immortals.

The former rookie behind holo holo holo, Seung-hoon ‘Huni’ Heo has never failed to liven up the games he has step foot in. Ever since his time in Fnatic, Huni has always rocked the top lane as well as the rest of the enemy team with his hyper carry style of getting quadra kills and pentakills. But now that he is in North America as the top laner for the Immortals, he has proven much more than the expectations placed on him during the Spring season. With the new split coming around the corner, Huni is looking to dominate the season again perhaps without a single loss.

Yeu-Jin ‘Reignover’ Kim was a dominating factor in the EU LCS last year by taking his team, Fnatic, through the regular season and into the Worlds Championship. He would continue this reign into the North America region as he becomes the jungler for Immortals. Throughout the matches, he would constantly own the jungle, even the enemy’s and guide his team through a lot of one-sided games. With a new split coming around, this jungler will be looking to reign over the rift with his capabilities as a professional player.

After his time in Counter Logic Gaming, Eugene ‘Pobelter’ Park would live to mid lane another day with Immortals. Along with the rest of the team, Pobelter would become one of the backbones to push the squad to a dominating split. Although he may be overshadowed by the likes of his other teammates, Pobelter knows how to show off his skills as it has been paid off with near perfect matches. With another season coming along, it will be another chance to lead Immortals to the play offs.

The ever so wild Jason ‘WildTurtle’; Tran has kept his mark in the bottom lane from his years in Team SoloMid to his new Immortals. With a newly reformed team, WildTurtle has seemingly revitalized and quickly went back to making plays as if he never left his prime. After doing more than just meeting expectations of this new team in the spring, he and his team look to secure spots for the Worlds Championship in the upcoming split. But with Immortals slowly revealing what their weak points are for opposing teams to exploit, the team has to bring themselves together to prove that they are not that mortal.

Adrian ‘Adrian’ Ma is a familiar face in the LCS scene from being a part of Team Impulse, but has now become the support for the hyped up Immortals team. However, they proved the haters wrong by nearly sweeping the entire regular season. Often, enemy teams would tackle the carry players, but even Adrian has drawn out bans for his Janna and Soraka plays that lead his team to victory. But now as the team is slowly cracking open, Adrian has to make sure that his immortal team keeps up with the meta and the synergy to stay like that.

Hey there guys! I’m Phil and I’m a 19 year old from the lovely UK. I’ve always loved video games and can remember the first time I played Age of Empires on my mum’s laptop. This passion for gaming grew as I grew and went into overdrive when I found myself with money I could spend and my own computer and consoles. While you’ll mostly find me on the PC, either being shouted at in online games or shouting at the screen on Steam, I also have a soft spot for my Xbox One. My favorite games of all time include Crusaders Kings 2 and Thomas Was Alone. When you can find me away from gaming it was almost certainly not by choice. I’m currently still a student International Relations and Political Science. While away from keyboard I also enjoy playing football (or soccer if you prefer) and recording a podcast with some of my friends who should know better.I love keeping up to date with all the latest gaming news and I hope I can help you to do the same.I’ll see you out there!

Have your say!
