Danganronpa was reviewed due to a code received from the publisher, NIS America.
Danganronpa does something truly fascinating. It features such brutality mixed with utterly goofy antics spliced with various genres including social sims, murder mystery along with a bit of Phoenix Wright courtroom drama for good measure. If this is how good visual novels can be then it should come as no surprise that more titles are making their way across the ocean.
I’ll fully admit to being entirely new to Visual Novels. It is an oddity considering how many video games from Japanese [...]
Title: Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Publisher: NIS America Developer: Spike Chunsoft Console: Vita Release Date: 9/1/2015
Danganronpa is a series notable for its witty writing, offbeat sense of humor, and a combo of a murder mystery and rapidfire debate the lend it far more interactivity than other tiles in the visual novel medium. So naturally, one would expect the newest entry in the series to be yet another story-driven adventure game, right? For once common logic fails us, as Ultra Despair Girls, which is more a side story taking place between Danganronpa 1 and 2 rather than true sequel, is an action game in the vain of such titles as Resident Evil 4. [...]

The announcement was also accompanied by a trailer featuring series mascots Monokuma and Usami battling it out via Danganronpa’s traditional trial-based gameplay.
According to the announcement, further information about the game will be revealed at a later date. The first two titles in the Danganronpa series were released in North America by NIS America in 2014 while the first [...]

Today, the offical Playstation YouTube channel posted an English language version of Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls opening.
