Square Enix regained the faith of once-disillusioned fans with their Final Fantasy VII remake. GamerGate held a successful meetup that featured photos with Mercedes Carrera and Jennie Bharaj rather than fire alarms and bomb threats. Anita Sarkeesian and John McIntosh even attended and put in their two cents on gaming booth babes, videogame violence, and US military recruitment via Twitter. Everyone was having a good time.

Vávra gave us the inside scoop, talking about how massive his studio plans for the in-game world to be, with the current Alpha taking over five hours to complete. Frontier Studios have announced a new game similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon and Bullfrog’s Theme Park World called Planet Coaster.
Announced via the PC Gaming Show at E3 hosted by PC Gamer, Frontier Studios took a break from space to show us all something that’s a complete 180 for the successful space sim company. Frontier Studio’s CEO David Braben was happy to announce Planet Coaster: Simulation Evolved as “something the company has wanted to do for a while”, and something they “hope will revitalize the genre”. During the PC conference at E3 just moments ago, a brand new expansion pack to the recently released RPG, Pillars of Eternity, titled The White March. A short teaser for the story was presented with a short Q&A by the developer. The developer stated that they plan to create content in the expansion to rival the size of the base game, which is great news for those that fell in love with the original title.

A new title in the Nier series has been announced today, during the Square Enix E3 press conference. There is no official name as of yet, and it will be PS4 exclusive.
With one of the developers bearing an outfit similar to Emil from Nier, an announcement was made. Announced by Atsushi Inaba of Platinum Games, the sequel will have Neir/Drakengard alumni Yosuke Saito and Yoko Taro behind the helm of production and directing—keeping true to the original Nier. Game design is being handled by Takahisa Taura of Platinum, known for Anarchy Reigns and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. During Nintendo’s E3 conference just moments ago, the newest in the Legend of Zelda series was announced. Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes is the latest in the iconic action-adventure puzzle series. Gameplay this time around is centered on team play of 3 players, in order to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. To help players in these objectives, link uses an outfit system, with each outfit granting different powers. A short presentation after the preview with the developer spoke about how Nintendo hoped to inspire teamwork with gamers within the game, to overcome challenges using a totem theme.

Hello Games engaged the crowds of Sony’s press conference for E3 earlier this evening with a gameplay demonstration of No Man’s Sky.
The demonstration, coming as a major announcement after near silence for almost half a year, is providing a first look into the depth and progress that the game has made. On display was all the major aspects of the gameplay, including space combat — which will allow for a player to assist any faction they desire to win an ongoing battle — the fast movement between solar systems which is done through a hyperdrive system, and the cataloging of fauna on new planets.

A new intellectual property has been revealed during the Ubisoft press conference. The new game For Honor features visceral melee combat between three different combat factions; Vikings, Samurai and medieval knights.
Taking to the stage, creative director Jason VandenBerghe explained that players will be able to feel every clash of their sword swings, and every crunch they experience in battle. He described how visceral the experience was before giving the floor to a playable demo.

Electronic Arts has revealed new details on the upcoming Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the next game in the Mirror’s Edge franchise.
The game, slated for release on February 23, 2016 and under production by DICE, will be a prequel to Mirror’s Edge and will once again star Faith as the main character. The story will center on her origins into her role for a heroine for the city of Glass, a place where people have lost their personal privacy in exchange for safety. Faith will slowly uncover a hidden truth that lies beneath the pristine surface of the city.

New information has been revealed for Need for Speed at EA’s press conference at E3 2015, including a finalized release date of November 3, 2015.
Ghost Games has revealed more details behind the upcoming installment in the Need for Speed franchise. The game will be set in an open world that will apparently be twice as large as the one from Need for Speed Rivals. Much of the world will reportedly be in an urban setting, with some of the routes leading to more mountainous roads with less contact to human civilization.
