With Konami claiming that it is calling an end to making AAA video games for home consoles, and only focusing on its soccer series Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). Some are claiming that Konami have driven their video game business into the ground. Is this such a bad thing for the company as a whole? After all Konami is more than just a video game publishing company, and maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that it has come to this. I know I wasn’t. Konami has been on a downward spiral for years only releasing a few games a year since 2008. 2015 only saw them release two games, PES 2016 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Yesterday, rumors began swirling that Microsoft was in talks to save the dying Silent Hills game by purchasing the franchise for “billions” of dollars. Before the rumor even had time to gain traction, Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft’s Xbox division, spoke up on Twitter.
@GoReds42093 @Xbox Sorry, this isn't true. Not sure where the rumor started but I don't want to mislead anyone.
— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) May 30, 2015
No word yet on how a rumor of that magnitude started without some grain of truth, but we’ll undoubtedly learn more as we head into E3.

Following in the wake of the unfortunate split between Kojima Productions and Konami, fans were left wondering what would happen to the next big thing planned for the Silent Hill franchise. Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima had planned to collaborate on something that would have proved to be nothing short of horrifying—as indicated by the haunting “Practical Teaser” or “P.T.” for short. It has sadly been confirmed by several various credible sources that Silent Hills is definitely dead in the water.
The first signs of the cancellation began as rumors, with a photojournalist named Matthew Hackney posting a Tweet supposedly quoting Guillermo Del [...]

A copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 was provided by the publisher for the purpose of this review.
The Fizz Home Gaming Community is pretty big on soccer games. My nephew and brother both loved playing last year’s FIFA — my nephew plays soccer all year round, so the news that Uncle Fizz got to review PES 2015 was pretty exciting to the family. In fact, I wasn’t even the first one to get to sit down and play it.
When I did have the time, I thought I would just kind of jump [...]
With a bit of help from TransGaming, Konami will be bringing their popular action game Metal Gear Rising: Revengence to the Mac Platform. This will be the first release of Metal Gear Solid series on the Mac and marks the first release from TransGaming since announcing that they would begin porting PC content and games to other platforms, including iOS and SteamOS.
In Metal Gear Rising, players take on the role of Raiden, a cybernetic ninja who first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 2, as he hacks and slashes his way through an army of robots and soldiers that stand between him and his mission objective.

The PES 2015 demo has dropped. Well not, really. Due to an unexpected hiccup, Konami had to delay the release of the demo everywhere except for Asia, excluding Japan. My excitement fizzled out after hearing this, but I found a workaround. I made a Hong Kong PSN account and downloaded it from the store where it is under the name “WORLD ELEVEN Winning Eleven 2015 Demo”. The demo also had traditional Japanese controls, i.e., X meant back while O meant confirm, which was quite frustrating at points. But after getting the hang of it, I could finally enjoy the game.
The first thing I noticed while playing the game is how beautiful and fluid the animations are. FIFA was a [...]
