This year has been a wonderful one for gaming. While I haven’t managed to play as many titles to completion as I would have liked, I was still chuffed with 2015’s offering. Having made the switch from my ailing PC to the Xbox One, I was able to pick up some of the current crop of triple-A titles. As such I have decided to run through some of the games I enjoyed this year, followed by my runners up and then finally my game of the year.
So many great games came out near the end of this year, leading to a substantial backlog, and that doesn’t even include the plethora of games that Xbox have welcomed back into my living room with its Backwards [...]
Timed console exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider, has been given a PC release date for January 29th. The release date spotted via a listing for the game on the French Amazon website; the website clearly shows a PC case with the game’s box art.
The game released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10th, with Square Enix deciding to release the title against Fallout 4. Releasing the game so close to Fallout 4 had an adverse impact on the game’s sales, with the title selling far below it’s expected targets. During the Microsoft E3 conference just moments ago, Crystal Dynamics showed off new gameplay from the upcoming title, Rise of the Tomb Raider. The new gameplay trailer showed Lara exploring a snowy mountaintop during a chaotic blizzard. It appears as though the exciting running, climbing, and quicktime events make a return. While combat gameplay was not shown off, a quick look at some combat and puzzles was shown as well.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is set for release November 10th, 2015.

According to GameSpot, the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider, the newest game in the long running Tomb Raider series, will launch exclusively on the Xbox One next year. While it had been previously assumed that the tile would be released simultaneously for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it has come to light that Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the series, had penned an exclusive deal with Microsoft to ensure that the game would appear only on the computer giant’s latest gaming machine.
