XCOM: Enemy Within headed to iOS and Android on November 13th

On Monday, 2K Games announced that XCOM: Enemy Within will launch on iOS and Android platforms tomorrow, November 13th. The turn-based tactics title was released last year to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms. There is no official confirmation that XCOM will be brought to PS4 or Xbox One. The game will be a standalone app for Android, iPhone, and iPad devices.

This new version will feature new soldier abilities, weapons, and new and updated storylines. A multiplayer mode will be also be available through Google Play and Apple Game Center.

In an interview before the launch, President of 2K Games Christoph Hartmann stated: “Providing consumers with a true triple-A game experience via a mobile or portable device is not an easy feat, but the launch of XCOM: Enemy Unknown for Mobile has shown it is possible. Now, with the launch of XCOM: Enemy Within, 2K is able to showcase our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, core gaming experiences for our fans on whatever platform they play on.”
