Melt Your Foes With Mighty Spells With Runers on Steam

It’s been awhile since we last covered Let’s Get Kraken’s dungeon crawler, Runers, but today you’ll be able to own it on Steam! In this top-down rouge-like, you play the part of a champion bent on conquering the darkness of an expansive, procedural generated dungeon, and conquer the evil end boss that lies at the bottom. Armed with a variety of spells, attributes, and Runes, your champion will fight for their life in a world where even a single death means being booted from the dungeon and forced to start anew!

Mark Bergerson, Co-creator, Lets Get Kraken adds, “We are very excited to be releasing Runers to the public. Since launching our demo, we have been encouraged by the positive responses to the game.  We really wanted players to have truly personalized playthroughs and to provide a sense of discovery, always making them wonder what spell or enemy they will find next.  There are so many customization options, there is always something new to try or discover, bringing you one step closer to reaching the final boss. Together with Mastertronic, we have put a lot of hard work into Runers and we hope everyone enjoys it!”

Stuart Morton, Producer, Mastertronic also had a message for gamers, “If you like games about dying (a lot), combining things (a lot) and killing stuff (a lot), then Runers is the game for you. Even if you don’t, I bet you will get hooked, once you try out the demo. The team at Lets Get Kraken have lovingly crafted a game that oozes options – the huge amount of races, classes and spell combinations will ensure you keep tinkering away to find the perfect play style that suits you in your quest to make it through all the floors and bosses. We are very pleased to help bring Runers to the public”.

You can get Runers right now on PC via steam with a 25% discount, and you can play the demo right here.

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
