The Grand Tournament Is Blizzard’s Next Expansion For Hearthstone

A brand new set hits Hearthstone this August, as The Grand Tournament debuts with 132 new cards for players to add to their collection. This new set also adds the keyword ability Inspire to the mix, with cards who’s true worth can only be unlocked with a bit of help from a player’s Hero and their unique power, creating new strategies and tactics for players both new and old to try their hand at.

The Grand Tournament transports brave Hearthstone duelists to the frigid continent of Northrend, where the heroes of the Argent Crusade once held a tournament to coax out Azeroth’s greatest fighters—and prepare them to battle the undead legions at the icy heart of the realm. The Lich King’s evil has been vanquished, but that doesn’t mean the jousting has to stop . . . the competitive atmosphere’s just a lot more playful (and a bit warmer) than it used to be.

Players will be able to get their hands on these new cards starting in August on PC, iOS, and Android, but right now you can also purchase a bundle of fifty booster packs of The Grand Tournament for a special price of $49.99 (one purchase per account). Doing so will also unlock a special card back for use in-game. For more information visit

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
