Dying Light‘s already expansive customization tool received an update today, bringing such useful features as the ability to create and edit terrain and upload your custom models for use with the game. To celebrate this new found creative tools — developer Techland has announced that they will be holding a second round of their “Beyond Dying Light” contest.
Players of Dying Light will be able to enter the contest by crafting their own custom map using the Dying Light Development Tools — a free download that can be found on Steam — and then submitting it via the game’s website. The contest’s grand prize is a custom Alienware Alpha i7 PC, and Dying Light-themed backpack filled with all sorts of items related to the zombie survival game.
The contest runs from August 3rd until the 31st and is sponsored by Gamebanana.com and Gamedevcontest.com. Potential applicants can also find content related to the development tools and tutorials on how to use them on Techland’s official YouTube Channel.
