ÆRENA 2.0 Update HAMMERs it home

ÆRENA has already had a brought gamers a unique, turn-based MOBA experience for some time now. However, there’s always room to improve and the developers over at Cliffhanger Games seem to agree as ÆRENA will soon roll out a summer upgrade that will provide new content across the board from new a totally new character to new skins for existing champions and ships that will sure to please in the upcoming months.

All of this new hotness begins with the arrival of HAMMER, a powerful Æther powered robot enforcer working for the INCquisition. HAMMER’s emergence in the world of ÆRENA is just the beginning of a flood of new features that include all sorts of wondrous things, including an updated user interface, animations, and other visual effects, the introduction of daily and new main missions, the ability to unlock new skins for your champion and ship, and a revamped tier system.

The developers at Cliffhanger stress that this is no mere update, but rather an important stage in ÆRENA’s evolution. “This is a major milestone for ÆRENA, and not merely an update,” said Creative Director Jan Wagner. “We have refined gameplay, created an awesome cast of champions, and introduced so many new features that I’m proud to say ÆRENA has truly become the competitive game of tactical combat we envisioned”.

My name is Nicole Seraphita and I’m 27. I’ve been gaming since the days of the NES and have owned at least one system from each generation since then. My favorite type of games if most definitely RPGs, with my favorites being titles like Chrono Cross, Persona 4, and Tales of Xillia, though I also sometimes dabble in platforming games, fighting games, and visual novels. When I’m not writing for APGNation or playing games, I enjoy table top and card games, watch anime, and write fiction that I occasionally publish online. I tend to write a lot of Sci-fi and the occasional bit of fantasy, with the often overlooked sub-genre of Biopunk being my favorite. I’ve also written a few visual novels, though only one of them has made it all the way to completion thus far. My current dream is to be able to bring the Monster Girl genre to a western audience.

Have your say!
