Destiny: House of Wolves First Impressions

The House of Wolves expansion for Destiny dropped on May 19, and we’ve been playing it since. People have been upset about the lack of raids this time round, but there’s still enough for players to sink their teeth into. We thought we’d delve into it a bit for our readers.

The Reef—the brand new social area, is the primary focus of House of Wolves. Players have been invited by the Queen of the Awoken—the one that helps the Guardian access the Black Garden, to the Reef. The Queen needs the help of the Guardians to track down one of her rogue lieutenants, who has betrayed her and sought to take over the “House of Wolves”. Obviously there are new [...]

Bungie stated their excitement and made reference to ideas announced two weeks ago, including PvP Ammunition, Strike, Raid fixes, and finally Vault Space. Will Halo 5 Hinder History?

Halo 5 Guardians continues to creep closer (though still further off than we’d all like) so we here at the Nation thought we would take a quick analysis of the gameplay of previous titles. Player versus player has always been a very large draw for Halo fans — due to this we will be focusing mostly on online play with the different types of matches and cooperative play styles.

In the first iteration of Halo, we had Combat Evolved on the Xbox. Halo CE was rather unique in helping to popularize games consoles. It proved that consoles could be viable platforms for first person shooters, back when PC shooters like Counter-Strike and Unreal Tournament were staples. [...]

Destiny Patch Fixes Quickscoping; Iron Banner PVP Event Begins

Bungie announced via their latest blog posting that Destiny will be taken offline for a few hours for maintenance. The patch,, will introduce numerous fixes to existing issues including one of the biggest: QuickScoping.

Quickscoping, in case you weren’t aware, allows a player to swiftly switch to the scope of, say, a sniper rifle and fire immediately. The short range disadvantage of a weapon such as that is taken away and, well, the results can be devastating. There are other fixes going live as well.

So You Wanna Unlock Destiny’s PvP (Multiplayer) Mode?

We here at APGNation love us some Destiny, but it can be frustrating when a much touted feature of the game isn’t even easy to find at first. Such is the case with Destiny’s PvP (multiplayer) experience, which actually must be unlocked before players can jump into the fray against their fellow legends. So that leads us to the point of this article, how do we get started cracking some skulls in PvP?

Well, hypothetical gamer I’ve created as a sounding board for the sake of this article, first you will have to fulfill three missions on “Old Russia”. On that same map you will unlock a mission called “The Last Array” on Earth. [...]
