Destiny: House of Wolves First Impressions

The House of Wolves expansion for Destiny dropped on May 19, and we’ve been playing it since. People have been upset about the lack of raids this time round, but there’s still enough for players to sink their teeth into. We thought we’d delve into it a bit for our readers.

The Reef—the brand new social area, is the primary focus of House of Wolves. Players have been invited by the Queen of the Awoken—the one that helps the Guardian access the Black Garden, to the Reef. The Queen needs the help of the Guardians to track down one of her rogue lieutenants, who has betrayed her and sought to take over the “House of Wolves”. Obviously there are new [...]

Destiny Compromises Old-Gen for Vault Space

Destiny has had just a few issues that fans have been clamoring for Bungie to fix—one of which is all over the Bungie forums. Vault space it seems has been the major issue for most Destiny players, and Bungie have heard their pleas and have answered in kind, but there is a downside for last generation’s consoles.

According to the Bungie weekly update, the next in-game update will be preparing for the next expansion—House of Wolves. Bungie stated their excitement and made reference to ideas announced two weeks ago, including PvP Ammunition, Strike, Raid fixes, and finally Vault Space. Most Disappointing Games of 2014

Disclaimer: Obviously the topic of Most Disappointing Game of the Year is a very personal and controversial subject. Responses collected for this article reflect only the opinions of myself and individual volunteers, not those of APGNation as a whole. Cited responses have been edited for clarity and stylistic unity.

When Hype Turns to Disappointment

The buzz from the first annual Video Game Awards is still simmering down, even while APGNation is about to release its own list of favorites for 2014. It’s easy to get lost in the hype during the holidays, but I say no! No to all [...]

Destiny Patch Fixes Quickscoping; Iron Banner PVP Event Begins

Bungie announced via their latest blog posting that Destiny will be taken offline for a few hours for maintenance. The patch,, will introduce numerous fixes to existing issues including one of the biggest: QuickScoping.

Quickscoping, in case you weren’t aware, allows a player to swiftly switch to the scope of, say, a sniper rifle and fire immediately. The short range disadvantage of a weapon such as that is taken away and, well, the results can be devastating. There are other fixes going live as well.

Added more data logging for matchmaking systems Improved connectivity failure handling to reduce beaver (Kick To Orbit events) KTOs Improved logging of player [...]

Destiny Players find a NEW Loot Cave – 2.0

Loot is aplenty despite Bungie recently shutting down Destiny’s treasure cave. The old cave was patched but within less than a day players have figured out a new farming location to suit all your loot needs.

As seen in the video posted above by PS4Trophies the new location is in the Rocketyard area of the Old Russia on Earth planet. In this area the enemies spawn every six seconds (just like the original Skywatch treasure cave) near a hallway so that they are sort of funneled through where the player, from far away, can easily pick them off. If you run out of ammo then just check the remains and drops and you’ll be sure to fill your clips and over time pick up [...]
